A Chamber Music Series debuts at the Tempe Center for the Arts during 2010-2011 season. The concerts are scheduled for Sunday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. followed by a reception with the performing artists, all included with the $20 ticket. Optional gallery and facility tours follow.

Thomas Landschoot & Doris Stevenson

The second concert in the Sonoran Chamber Music Series features the music of Schumann, Beethoven and Brahms. Renowned pianist Doris Stevenson returns to Tempe, home of her alma mater Arizona State University, to play with ASU’s cello professor Thomas Landschoot. Stevenson is artist in residence in piano at Williams College and has performed extensively as both piano soloist and chamber musician.

Sonoran Chamber Music: The Sonoran Piano Quartet

The third and final concert in the new Sonoran Chamber Music Series. The Sonoran {Piano Quartet is comprised of outstanding ASU professors cellist Thomas Landschoot, violinist Jonathon Swartz, violist Nancy Buck and pianist Russel Ryan. The music of Schumann is a continuing theme in this series. They will also play quartets by Mozart and Brahms.
